Active Tots is a small soft play centre just for under 4’s in a converted barn just off the A33 in between Reading and Basingstoke. Our small friendly team work to offer our customers an enjoyable experience and offer playtime and birthday parties Monday to Saturday.
We are looking to recruit a Catering Manager / Cook to take on the day to day running of our Country Kitchen and Cafe. We are not seeking a highly trained chef, as we offer a healthy menu comprising jacket potatoes, filled baguettes, panini, toasties etc along with smaller portions for our little customers.
Our ideal candidate
- good team player with plenty of initiative
- natural flare with young children and great customer service skills
- highly organised and able to multitask
- have a good knowledge of food and an understanding of food allergies and intolerances
- minimum Level 2 Food and Hygiene Certificate is essential
Duties
- food and drinks preparation and serving
- taking orders and cash handling
- cleaning as you go, ensuring a clean and hygienic area at all times
- stock control, storage, rotation etc all in accordance with the Food Standards Agency
Hours of work 9am to 4pm five days per week to include alternate Saturday working.
Due to our location, a car driver / owner is essential – with free parking on site.
